Here's a Link To The Past walkthrough...
Hyrule Castle

HOW TO ENTER HYRULE CASTLE To find the secret passage into Hyrule Castle, go right along the outside of the castle from its main gate, then go up to the tree at the end. Look for a single bush surrounded by light-colored stones and pick it up to reveal a hole. (To remove the bush, face it and press the A Button.) Drop into the hole (1). You'll find your uncle there. Talk with him. He will give you your first Sword and the Shield
DIRECTIONS TO THE BOOMERANGThe Boomerang is found in the first basement of the castle. To find it from the castle's entrance, go right one room, up to the end of the hall, left through the door, then up through the door in between the statues. Go down one room and descend the ladder, then follow the path to the bottom of the room and go left. Go up through the door at the end, defeat the guard to open the doors, and then go through the door on the right. Open the treasure chest in the middle of the room to get the Boomerang.
DIRECTIONS TO ZELDA

Princess Zelda is found in the castle dungeon, which is in the third basement. From where you got the Boomerang, go left one room, up one room and take the stairs. Take the next set of stairs on the left, then go right to find the dungeon. To free Zelda, you must defeat the Dungeon Guard with the ball and chain. Use the Boomerang to freeze the guard, then hit him with your Sword. Repeat this pattern until the guard is defeated, then touch the door in front of Zelda to open it and set her free.
ESCAPING THE CASTLE To escape Hyrule Castle, you must first go to the Throne Room on the second floor. In the back of the Throne Room, there is a statue with two swords on it. Stand to the left of the statue and push it to the right to reveal a passage. Enter the passage and work your way up through the sewer until you appear in the Sanctuary. You're free! Eastern Palace (1) - Sahasrahla Elder HOW TO ENTER THE PALACE To enter the Eastern Palace, talk to Sahasrahla. He is the old man in the hut on the eastern side of the overworld. He will tell you about the three Pendants and mark the location of the Eastern Palace on your overworld map. Journey east, to where the pendant is flashing on the map. DIRECTIONS TO THE BIG KEYTo find the Big Key in the Eastern Palace, first locate the large treasure chest in the middle of the first floor. Go right one room, down one room and left two rooms to find a room with a raised platform. Hit the Cyclops in the eye with your Sword to defeat him. Then, lift the jars to reveal a button that will make the chest with the Big Key in it appear. DIRECTIONS TO THE BOW Bow and Arrows You must open the large treasure chest in the middle of the first floor with the Big Key to acquire the Bow. From where you got the Big Key, go up one room and right one room to reach the Bow. DIRECTIONS TO THE ARMOS KNIGHTSFrom the large treasure chest that contained the Bow, go up one room, take the stairs on the left, then walk left three rooms and up one room to find the Armos Knights. Defeat all six knights to acquire the first Pendant, the Pendant of Courage Armos Knight HOW TO DEFEAT THE ARMOS KNIGHTS The Armos Knights guarding the Pendant of Courage look like six bouncing statues. The Armos Knights can be defeated with three arrows each. The easiest way to defeat them is to plug each one of them with two arrows first then deliver the final blow with the third arrow. If you do it right the last one sould not take more than 2 more arrows. If you run out of arrows, switch to the Sword and swing for all your worth. Desert Palace (1) - Sahasrahla Elder HOW TO ENTER THE PALACE To enter the Desert Palace, go to the south-west corner of the Light World to the Desert of Mystery. Once there, look for a large platform with a tablet on it. Use the ancient Book of Mudora on the tablet to read the tablet's inscription and open the door to the palace. TIPS FOR THIS PALACEIf you need to get a key from the top of a post, use the Pegasus Shoes to dash into the post to knock the key down. If you reach a room that appears to be a dead end, try lighting all the torches with your Lamp to make an opening appear. DIRECTIONS TO THE BIG KEYThe Big Key is in the top-right room in the first basement of the Desert Palace. To find it from the palace entrance, walk up to the top of the main area and go up through the fourth door from the right. Enter the newly-revealed door on the left to find the Lanmolas. Lamolas HOW TO DEFEAT THE LANMOLAS The Lanmolas are creatures that guard the Pendant of Power. They are three large green worms which shoot out of the sand floor and dive back down. Each of the Lanmolas will require eight hits from the sword before it subsides into the dust forever Tower of Hera Use the mirror here HOW TO ENTER THE PALACE To reach the Tower of Hera, climb to the top of Death Mountain and go right to find a blue teleporter. Step into the teleporter to be transported to the Dark World, then walk left and look for two dark diamond shapes on the ground. Stand on either diamond patch and use the Magic Mirror to return to the Light World. You will be standing on top of Spectacle Rock. Grab the Heart Piece and walk up to drop off the northern edge of the rock. Then, walk right and up to find the Tower of Hera. DIRECTIONS TO THE BIG KEYTo find the Big Key in the Tower of Hera, walk up from the tower's entrance and go through the top-left locked door to reach the first floor. Either destroy the tiles that fly toward you or allow them to smash into the walls. When the tiles stop attacking you, the door to the right will open. Go right one room and down one room. Then, light the four torches to make the chest with the Big Key in it appear DIRECTIONS TO THE MOON PERL Moon Perl The Moon Pearl is in the large treasure chest in the middle of the fourth floor, but a wide gap prevents you from walking right up to it. To reach the chest, go up to the fifth floor and step on the star tile on the left side of the room. This will make a hole appear near the top-center portion of the room. Stand above this hole, step down to drop into it and you'll land in front of the chest. Open it to acquire the Moon Pearl. DIRECTIONS TO MOLDORM Finding Moldorm is straightforward. Climb up to the sixth floor of the tower to find him Moldorm HOW TO DEFEAT THE LANMOLAS Moldorm is a large yellow worm with five round sections. His only vulnerable point is at the tip of his tail. To defeat him, stand at a safe distance from the edges of the platform and hold the B button to charge up your sword. Once your sword is fully charged, release the B button to perform the Whirling Blade technique. Six hits to his tail without falling off the platform will put Moldorm away for good! If he knocks you off you have to go back up the stairs AND DO IT ALL OVER! Its a good Idea to leave the yellow blocks around the double row of jars DOWN. They all contain hearts Dark Palace Kiki the Monkey HOW TO ENTER THE PALACE The Dark Palace is marked by the number 1 on your map. To reach the entrance, walk right from the Pyramid (where you begin in the Dark World) until you find a small hut and a maze of bushes. Always keep your eye on Link's head spaces between the bushes. Work your way up and right toward the palace. As you near the entrance, you will come out of a thicket of brush and find that Kiki the Monkey is following you. Kiki offers to open the door to the palace for a fee of 10 Rupees. Push a statue on top of the button, then walk up the stairs and go through the door. Here you will find a large, one-eyed statue. Hit the statue in the eye with an Arrow to reveal a secret staircase. After descending the stairs, follow the one-way path left one room, down one room and right one room to a teleport tile. Unfortunately, he isn't a push-over. The battle will be a long and difficult one. Avoid Ganon's attacks while hitting him with your Sword as often as you can. After a while, Ganon will attempt to put out the lights in the room. When this happens, light BOTH pots with your Fire Rod (this is very important!), then hit Ganon with the Sword to turn him blue. Hit him with the Silver Arrows when he's blue, then wait for him to recover. Repeat the process of lighting the braziers and shooting Gannon with the Silver Arrows three more times. Once you've defeated him, you have completed your quest. Congratulations!

Link's Awakening :: Link works hard to make it through his quests, and no one knows better than me that even the best adventurers need a little help now and then. One of Link's most difficult journeys took place on Koholint Island, and if you're planning to help Link wake the Wind Fish, then you're going to need my help. Before we get going, be sure to click on the Map Information link so that you can understand my detailed directions.
Once you learn how to make a map, it's time to get started. To make it easier to give directions, you will frequently hear me say "Go up one screen" or "Go left one screen." What I mean by this is to make Link travel in the indicated direction until the landscape automatically scrolls to the next screen.

Map Information
To make it easier to give directions through Koholint Island, sometimes I'm going to use coordinates such as "3-F" or "14-B." These coordinates refer to locations on a 16 by 16 square grid which represents the overworld on Kohholint Island. You can draw one at home for quick reference to find places in Link's Awakening.
To make a grid, take a piece of graph paper and mark off a large square that is sixteen squares left to right, and sixteen squares top to bottom. Number one through sixteen, from left to right, along the bottom of the grid. Mark the grid from top to bottom with letters A to P. When you see a map location listed in my directions to a place or item, put a dot on the grid according to the number and letter given. Check the accuracy of your map by comparing it to the map that the game displays when you press the Select button.
